Albert: Jimmie ("Grandpops BAGGETT") and "Ms Eula" loved you as if you were their son. As far as they were concerned-you were their son. They never recovered from your loss. NEVER. The thing I remember the most about your USMC funeral in Jackson was when we drove you from the memorial service to the gave site. I guess the news media had told Jackson that we were buring one of their own that day. As the funeral procession drove down Capitol St with your coffen draped with aa American Flag and flags flying from the vehicle you were in, MANY cars stopped. Many got out of their car and held their hand over their heart. Some saluted! When you were burried the US Marine Cerimonial Guard folded your flag and gave it to "Ms Eula." After she died, I passed it onto your brother, Joe WOOD, to pass onto your sister, Irene Wood JONES. I don't know if she ever received it. Your Step Brother, Charles "Skeeter" BAGGETT, former Captain, USMC.
